*Anamorphicons [#m79d0874] #author("2022-01-13T19:14:49+09:00","","") An extended display with a cylindrical mirror **Overview [#tcea3a54] Anamorphicon is a tangible object using Anamorphosis with a 2D display and a cylindrical mirror. A distorted image is shown on a flat panel display or tabletop surface, and the original image will appear on the cylindrical mirror when a user puts it on the display. By detecting the position and rotation of the cylinder, a computer program provides interaction between the user and the image on the cylinder. In our current prototypes, an iPad and Windows 8 screens and their multitouch displays are used to detect the cylinder. http://is.ocha.ac.jp/~gradthesis/gyazo/20130424135529.png //**Applications [#d13a0c7c] **Publications & Awards [#l792ec1c] -The Best Poster Award (ITS 2011): Chihiro Suga, Itiro Siio, Anamorphicons: An extended display with a cylindrical mirror, ACM International Conference on Interactive Tabletops and Surfaces (ITS 2011), pp. 242--243, Kobe, Japan, Nov. 16, 2011. -Chihiro Suga, Itiro Siio, Anamorphicons: An extended display with a cylindrical mirror, ACM International Conference on Interactive Tabletops and Surfaces (ITS 2011), pp. 242--243, Kobe, Japan, Nov. 13-16, 2011.
